Established in the year 1968, Wilmington University's humble beginnings include a charter class of just 194 students. Today, it enrolls over 18,000 students who are enrolled in its 7 colleges through which the university offers 26 bachelor's degree and 20 master's degree programs in areas of arts and sciences, business, education, health professions, social and behavioral sciences, and technology.
Life at Wilmington University aims to provide its students with a wide range of opportunities to get academically and socially involved on and off campus through its 27 student organizations and clubs and 10 honor societies. For the athletic minded students, Wilmington University sponsors 11 intercollegiate athletic teams that compete in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC), a conference composed of 14 institutions from across the states of Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, and Connecticut.
