Bachelor of the Arts
2003-2007
I really loved the small classes and one-on-one work with professors. The classes were interesting and challenging and I enjoyed my time there. The campus has tons of extracurricular activities, like KUPS, the student run radio station. The culture is very diverse, but it is definitely a liberal arts school and not everyone would thrive in this environment. Perhaps not the number one pic for science/technology, but highly recomended for arts and social sciences and such. Second best perk: the campus is absolutely gorgeous.

It may sound contrite, but the biggest take-away from my four years at UPS was that I learned how to do research both for academic purposes and the real world. Professors encouraged and required me to really think about and be aware of the process... that's something you don't get at most institutions.

The opportunity to study in the Honors Program at the University of Puget Sound changed my life in profound ways. It taught me that learning is a lifestyle, not a four-year degree. It taught me to ask questions, do my own research and form independent opinions. I am deeply grateful for the education as well as the life-long friendships formed at UPS.
