School Description

The University of New Hampshire (UNH) is home to over 15,000 students from more than 80 countries. Through her 11 schools and colleges, UNH offers bachelor’s degree courses in a wide area of disciplines including electrical and computer, environmental sciences, health management and policy, history, humanities, information technology, international affairs, law, music, neuropsychology, nursing, ocean engineering, philosophy, physics, political science, psychology, sociology, tourism management, and zoology. UNH offers on-campus accommodation as there are over 30 residential halls of various sizes and configurations. There are over 274 registered student organizations, 25 honor societies, 8 social sororities, 10 religious organizations, and about 23 men and women sports teams like basketball, cross country, diving, field hockey, gymnastics, and volleyball. As a result, finding the group that suits your personality and lifestyle is inevitable. There are superb recreational facilities like Hamel Recreation Center, an 18,000 sq. ft. of fitness space spread across 5 locations and contains a multi-activity court, 2 studios, a demonstration kitchen, locker rooms with saunas, a cycling studio, wood floor courts, and 2 racquetball courts. Free campus-wide internet facilities are also available.
