School Description
UMES offers undergraduate and graduate programs. It utilizes a semester-based academic calendar. The Institution is a historically black university, as well as an 1890 Historically Black Land-Grant University. It is a member-school of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund. Noted alumni include Lamont Ellis (CEO/President, TIME Organization, Inc) who did BA, Communication, during 1992-96 and Daisy Prince (Recruitment Consultant, Confidential in UAE) who did BA, English during 2005-2010.
