School Description

Founded in 1866, University of Kansas prides itself with 150 years of education experience and today is among the nation's major public research and teaching institutions. Drawing more than 28,000 students from all 50 states and 105 countries across the globe, University of Kansas has 13 schools and colleges through which it offers nearly 300 bachelor's and nearly 200 master's studies in areas of architecture, design and planning, arts, business, education, engineering, journalism and mass communications, health professions, law, liberal arts and sciences, medicine, music, nursing, pharmacy, public affairs and administration, and social welfare. University of Kansas main campus covers over 1,000 acres of historic land on the forested hills of Lawrence. In order to qualify for admissions at the University of Kansas, prospective international students must have a minimum of 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale and a proof of English language proficiency through an accredited English language test such as the TOEFL or IELTS exam. However, should you need further assistance meeting these requirements, you are advised to enroll in one of University of Kansas' International Accelerator Programs (IAP), which is designed to support international students in transitioning to a student life in the United States by providing them with further academic and English language training while still earning credit hours towards a bachelor's degree program at the University of Kansas.

    Aerospace Engineering

    A program that prepares individuals to apply basic engineering principles and technical skills in support of engineers and other professionals engaged in developing, manufacturing and testing aircraft, spacecraft and their systems. Includes instruction in aircraft/spacecraft systems technology, design and development testing, prototype and operational testing, inspection and maintenance procedures, instrument calibration, test equipment operation and maintenance, and report preparation.
