Established in 1982, University of Illinois at Chicago is the city's largest university that today enrolls more than 17,500 students each year in its 15 schools and colleges through which the university offers 85 bachelor's degree and 98 master's degree programs in areas of applied health sciences, architecture, design and the arts, business, dentistry, education, engineering, liberal arts and sciences, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, public health, social work, urban planning and public affairs. With over 50 languages spoken on campus, University of Illinois at Chicago is among the most culturally and ethnically diverse universities in the country. Its campus is an urban space surrounded by stunning greenery of more than 5,000 trees and 800 bikes on campus. It is also home to not only various recreational, athletic, arts and entertainment facilities, but as well as cultural and music events throughout the year.
