The Community Colleges of Spokane (CCS) was founded in 1963 with the mission of developing human potential through quality, relevant and affordable learning opportunities. both colleges that make up CCS are accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. We are one of the largest Community College Districts in the State of Washington!
International students choose our English pathway program as the perfect bridge to their academic plan for study at Spokane Falls or Spokane Community College campuses. The IELP provides high energy, interactive classes taught by highly qualified and experienced instructors. Choosing the IELP for your English language study does not require TOEFL or IELTS. There are 4 levels of study, moving through one level every quarter. Students take the placement test upon arrival to campus to determine the best fit for their current level. Meet with American students weekly at the Global Cafe' to practice your English with native speakers.
USD 9,450 Tuition Fee
This course focuses on the reading, writing, listening and speaking elements in English language learning that students need to function in both the real world and academic settings. The intensive course emphasizes controlled and communicative practice through use of grammar in listening, speaking, reading, and writing activities. Four levels are offered: High Beginner (Level 50), Low Intermediate (Level 60), High Intermediate (Level 70), and Advanced (Level 80). Students transition through one level per academic quarter.

Financial Aid & Scholarship
Every year, the CCS Foundation provides over 300 major scholarships for tuition and books, as well as hundreds of smaller awards to help with testing costs, program fees and emergency needs. The general scholarship application period is open from January 03 - March 15 of each year. International students are encouraged to apply!
