Chelsea Independent College enjoys a reputation for being one of the leading independent sixth form colleges in London. We specialise in providing a wide range of GCSE, A-level, Foundation pathway and Academic Summer courses, and have an excellent academic record with the majority of our students progressing to Russell Group or similar leading universities. We successfully combine a challenging academic environment with an extensive co-curricular programme. We do this within a vibrant and welcoming community located in two modern buildings in fashionable Fulham.
Our NCUK Foundation courses were developed in collaboration with a group of leading UK universities to ensure international pupils received a world-class qualification of the highest academic standard along with the necessary English and study skills required for university entry. Students who pass their programme are guaranteed a place at an NCUK university and can choose from over 4,000 degree courses through a single point of application. In addition, NCUK qualifications are accepted by over 60 universities in the UK, Ireland, Australia and North America.

Our school is home to over 45 different nationalities, with boarders studying alongside day students living in and around South West London. This pathway is best suited to students who want the opportunity to progress to a broad range of university courses with a rigorous academic curriculum. The Mathematics module strengthens the profile Business pathway students enabling them to apply to both Business and many Humanities degrees, but also to those requiring strong numerical skills. The programme is comprised of the following modules: Economics, Maths, English for Academic Purposes, Business Studies or Politics and Society.

Engineering pathway

This stream will prepare students for Computing, Mathematics, Engineering, Sciences and related degrees. The key difference between this pathway and the Science route is the opportunity to explore more sophisticated mathematical concepts in order to access highly analytical, mathematically rich degrees. The programme comprises the following modules: Physics, Maths, English for Academic Purposes, Further Maths or Chemistry.

Humanities pathway

This course offers students progression to a wide range of degrees in this field, from Politics and International Relations, to Journalism, Law and PR. The most prominent difference between this pathway and the Business route is the exclusion of Mathematics. The Humanities pathway has a greater emphasis on developing writing and research skills. The programme comprises the following modules: Economics, Politics and Society, Business Studies, and English for Academic Purposes. Pupils can also choose Art and Design to replace any module, excluding EAP.
