"It is what is between your ears that makes your life happy or not."
This was the most profound statement I had every heard and as my life evolved, I will testify that it is the most true and impacts my work every moment of every day. Adelphi's culture was easy and had chosen some of the best teachers-people_ I have ever encountered. Phoebe Lazarus-humanistic education- I drank it all in-Bouklas Bucks....School was fun, relevant and deeply helped me become introspective and shift my life for the better. I was in a terrible relationship but through mu studies and deep caring and all I was learning, I went for what was better, filled with integrity and loved myself out and away form what was destructive. Adelphi rocks and still love it to this day. After writing this I am feeling a deep sense of connection and thinking maybe I want to give back and work there. Hmmmm. Got my passion meter going!

Lynne Shulman, Director of Social Work Programs at the Hauppauge Center, is the epitome of an outstanding, caring, supportive program director !!! Jamie Gergen runs a stellar Field Placement department and Dr. Joanne Quinn-Beers provides outstanding direction and support to students for licensure prep and to the GSA and Alumni Association of Hauppauge. Thanks to Prof. Mike Stoltz who got me started and encouraged students to "find your voice” as social workers. Many thanks go out to Dr. Bernadette Marson who has provided me with support and inspiration from day one. Thank you Dr. Helen Ballas for your understanding and your motivated style of teaching. Kudos goes out to Prof. Cuadra also who gave me the keys to writing well in Social Work. Prof. Robin Newman gave me the encouragement to expand my thinking and to get outside of my...
