Murdoch University

School Description

Murdoch University has a long history that dates back to 1962 when the government allotted a huge piece of land for a future university. It wasn’t however until 1970 that the University actually started to take form. Murdoch University was named in honour of the author and philosopher Sir Walter Murdoch.

Today Murdoch University has more than 22,000 students and over 2,000 staff, including 2,000 overseas students from around 100 countries studying in Perth and another 8000 studying offshore. Murdoch University’s offshore campuses are in Dubai and Singapore.
