Quality Law SchoolMy experience at Osgoode has been nothing but the best. I have learned from some of the most celebrated and published legal minds in Canada, have accessed the largest law library in the Commonwealth, and made friends with the most dedicated and talented students I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I LOVE OSGOODE!

1990-1993, Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Law

Canadian law school graduate in the early 1990sThe school has a few very outstanding professors who care much about student knowledge and would provide very clear pathways to discover the law. Trust Law professor,Civil Procedure professor, Property Law professor and Family Law professor are noteworthy for praise in this regard. Other electives or non core subjects like commercial law, environmental law, torts, economics and law and international taxation are regrettably not taught in a very structured and clear manner. Professors are not so well prepared and resourceful and sometimes quite patronizing to students. Constitutional law professor use materials that are at times repetitive and the approach is not so enlightening, perhaps due to a more advanced age of the professor. All in all, Osgoode is a good law school that will provide a solid training for an articling position anywhere in Canada. I hope that the school library and resources are now all computerized or digitized for convenient access at home as well as at the office.

Be a leader.Osgoode Hall provided me with the opportunity to meet many of the finest legal minds in the country, both members of the faculty and guest lecturers: Bora Laskin CJC, Eric Ledain of the Supreme Court, and Louise Arbour, of the Supreme Court and United Nations, to name but a few. Colleagues from my first year "home room" went on to such positions as judge of the Superior Court of Justice of Ontario, two-term cabinet minister in Ontario's government, and CEO of a Fortune 500 corporation in western Canada. Osgoode Hall supplies the legal profession with its leaders!
