Valparaiso University (Valpo) is a private, Lutheran-affiliated university located in Valparaiso, Indiana. Valpo offers over 100 bachelor's and master's degree programs through seven colleges and schools that include, the Graduate School, College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business, College of Engineering, and the College of Nursing and Health Professions.

School Description

The City of Valparaiso sits in a rural setting at the edge of Northwest Indiana. The campus is just an hour's drive away from one of the most famous cities in the US, Chicago. Students can enjoy the theater, museums and other cultural and entertainment venues available in the Windy City. In addition, recreational and scientific resources, the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore and Indiana Dunes State Park are located just fifteen miles north of campus.

Valparaiso University has over 4000 students that come from nearly 50 countries. Students at Valpo have plenty of opportunities to get involved on campus with over 100 student clubs and organizations. Some of these organizations include the League of Gaming, Spanish Club, and the Black Student Organizations (BSO). In addition, the Harre Union is the perfect place to socialize and hangout, with many lounges and a recreational center.
