Fantastic three years - lots of fun memoriesYYYork was a great place to study for three years. Steeped in history, it was the perfect setting for a history degree. The department had an impressive range of specialists so when it came to choosing a dissertating topic they could accommodate most areas of interest. I was there before Hes East when it was a relatively small university. The colleges provided a great focal point for smaller communities within the wider student population. I came away with lots of friends and fond memories, and my degree has stood me in good stead on the job market.

York, the right education at the right time!YYYork was like a dream come true for a young architect aspiring to live the 'out of India' experience. I was married had a Charles Wallace Fellowship and could travel to England with my wife who then accompanied me and could work at the York City Council! The course itself was an example of how few could manage to arrange for 250 people in the profession to come and talk to a group of international students, arrange an international tour and yet make it all seem like a holiday. Today after 25 years as a practicing Conservation Architect and a partner with my wife in Pune's foremost architectural conservation practice I feel ever so indebted to the right education at the right time!
