School Description

University of West Georgia (UWG) offers a variety of master’s degree programs including applied computer science, business administration, criminology, media, early childhood education, nursing, psychology, and mathematics. While most of the master’s degree programs are delivered in the classroom, some are delivered in a hybrid format that involves in-class teaching and the traditional face-to-face structure to ensure flexibility. The mission of the university is to help students actualize their dreams of attaining professionalism in their chosen fields through academic engagement, supportive services, professional development, and a caring, student-centered community. The university has a strong relationship with businesses and organizations within and outside the host community. This makes it possible for students to gain valuable experience through paid and sometimes unpaid internships and placements. Notable alumni of the University of West Georgia include Newton Gingrich - Former speaker of the U.S House of Representative, Shea Cowart - Gold medal Paralympian, and Todd Grisham – Broadcaster.

        Now this university is my heart, it is the best in diversity , the commuting population and the residential population is the best wave of the seasons. The courses are the best the staff is of the elite in the world sports alike . The sorority and fraternity have the best initiation activities of safety. The campus is fully equipped in all facilities. The teachers are the most in character and personalities. Kids get an early start -11th grade- the classes fill quick.

        They have one of the best mixes of online and in-class programs with their Richards College of Business. I had a (more than) full-time job and was able to complete about 80% of my Econ and Finance classes online. Great staff in Economics!
