University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) located in the port city of Wilmington, North Carolina, in the United States offers numerous undergraduate and postgraduate academic programs under the College of Arts and Sciences, College of Health and Human Services, Cameron School of Business, Watson College of Education and Graduate School; it also provides Distance Education. School Description

University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW), started in 1947, welcoming 238 students at the time. It was given the status of a Community college ten years later in 1957. UNCW boats many achievements and points of pride. It is well known for having a remarkable faculty and is constantly recognised at a national level by Kiplinger's Personal Finance and other publications for academic and scholarly excellence and affordability. UNCW also ranks highly in the University of North Carolina system for boasting high student graduation rates.

Today the University of North Carolina Wilmington has over 14,000 students. With its accreditation by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) the University can award bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees.
