An education at a great value!

UNM is affordable and has lots of study programs to choose from. It is the only public university in NM to house both a medical school and law school. The main campus is large and offers many amenities.

One of the best colleges for computer science research

Quality of education in computer science department is really good.Professors have great knowledge and really approachable.I learned a lot after attending the graduate program and will be learning too.Maybe location is little drawback, leading to its little low ranking.

          • Testimony
            2005-2009, BA

            UNM gave me a chance

Cost was something that outweighed all other factors when it came to college for me. I had made a deal with my parents that they would get me a car and I could go wherever I pleased. I chose this over them helping me out to attend the local university in Western Colorado. I really had my heart set on going away for college and the high prices at Colorado and Colorado State left me with limited options, so limited I took a whole year off to figure out what was next. I decided to write letters to the University of Utah, The University of Arizona and New Mexico asking if they could help a girl out and show me some Four Corners love and give me in state tuition. New Mexico is the only one that wrote back. I think that says a lot.
