School Description

The College of Engineering offers its students work on cutting-edge research projects such as designing a better NASA spacesuit and creating more efficient solar cars. Mizzou encompasses 10 centers and research farms, allowing scientists to test discoveries from university laboratories and share their research results with the public. MU professors generate knowledge through research to share knowledge with students, and with the public through one of the nation's first extension programs.

    Mizzou fielded its first football team in 1890. In 1911, Mizzou invited alumni to “come home” for the MU vs. KU football game, thus beginning the tradition of Homecoming on campus. Mizzou uses the tiger as their mascot with the bold colors black and gold.

            University of Missouri is the first land grant university, west of Mississippi. It has 200 degree programs. At the time when I graduated, College of Engineering was noted for structural engineering, and power plant engineering. Also nuclear engineering division had the largest reactor for a university , I was told. MU has a beautiful campus. MU has a lots of student activities. MU has some of the most beautiful women I have seen anywhere. I will always think of MU fondly, and am proud to have been there.
