School Description

The University of Michigan-Flint flexible curriculum provides a broad-based education that widens the students’ academic and professional knowledge and skills. The University offers over 20 master’s degree programs some of which are Computer science and information management, public health, social sciences, business, arts, and mathematics. At UM-Flint, master’s degree students can pursue two graduate degree programs at the same time through the dual degree programs that allow you to double count credit hours toward two degrees. Campus services, academic advice, graduate-student research assistantships and so many other services are made available to international students. Notable alumni include Christopher Curtis – Author, Michael Moore - American documentary filmmaker and author, and David Robertson - American Orchestra conductor.

    Scholarships for master’s degree students are based on academic performance with each having its own criteria for qualification and they are made available to all students admitted into the master’s degree program. Some scholarships awarded to graduate students are the Dean’s Graduate Student Scholarship, Esther C. Stone Graduate Student Scholarship for Academic Excellence, The Carl and Sarah Morgan Graduate Student Scholarship and Ralph M. and Emma Lyn E. Graduate Program Scholarship.
