School Description

UMass Lowell offers bachelor's, master's and doctoral degree programs. The University owes its origins to two institutions founded in the 1890s - Lowell State College on the south side of the Merrimack River, and Lowell Technological Institute on the north side. Notable alumni include Changappa Kodendera (IT Executive at Targeting Business Technology Transformation Opportunities) who did MS in Computer Science during 1992-1993 and Terrence Masson (Founder & CEO, Building Conversation) who did BFA in Graphic Design during 1985-1989.
