I was able to drive an hour away every weekend, for 2 years to attend classes and complete my practicum during the week in my community. The 4 Corners MSW program changed my life for the better, I made great connections and earned a quality education. Proud DU Alum!

The support of a group of professors who not only instructed theory, but translated that part of the coursework into practical application. While I graduated from the Hotel School (not quite as fancy as it is now), I'm no longer in the industry. However, I've taken the lessons learned about finding ways to overcome obstacles into my life and convert problems into opportunities. It was and continues to be a great place to learn and has grown beyond Chancellor Alter's vision of the school as the "Harvard of the West" into its own skin.

I started out as a professional writer/reporter and photographer after earning my BA in Mass Communications from The University of Denver, and went back to DU years later to complete my pre-med requirements as a Biological Sciences Major. To this day, I tell others with pride that my alma mater was The University of Denver, and that I am a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of DU. It's more expensive than a state college, but I have found in life that you get what you pay for If you want a quality education in almost any field of endeavor, I highly recommend DU. I refer to it as "the Harvard of the West" and I'm sure a lot of people would agree with me on that. The professors there are truly top-notch. You'll work very hard at DU (sorry -- not a party school for slackers), but what you come away with will improve your whole...
