When I was a freshman CCS Physics major Richard Feynman came to give a lecture to about 12 CCS physics students and faculty. Hearing him speak and going to a BBQ later to hang out was an unforgettable experience. I ended up at Berkeley as a grad and met more inspirational physicists! But the basis of it was the freedom at CCS to pursue what I really wanted to without being held back.

There is something special about the beaches of Santa Barbara, the coastal campus, and the culture at UCSB. Learning is encouraged through logic, reasoning and research, and enrichment bleeds into all aspects of student life. I greatly valued my experience and highly recommend this amazing university. You may find it hard to leave!!!

University of California Santa Barbara gave me an amazing experience that I wouldn't have had at other universities. Santa Barbara allowed me to gain an excellent education and maintain a work/life balance. At the university I was able to participate in education in various education fields from computer science courses to sales and accounting. In particular something I feel that is very special to this campus is the Technology Management Program led by John Greathouse. The program gives entrepreneurial students amazing opportunities to network and learn.
