School Description

University College Cork was established as one of three Queen's Colleges at Cork (QCC) in 1845. The university remained part of the QCC up until the 1880's when it became part of the Royal University of Ireland. The institution gained university status in 1997, and has since gone on to become one of the top ranked universities in Ireland.

University College Cork has more than 20,000 students. The campus has dozens of building and over 1,600 staff. Students at UCC have a wide variety of societies for them to be involved in. These societies are a great way to be engaged with other students who share the same interests and hobbies as you. Some of the societies include the UCC Harry Potter Society and the UCC Music Society.
