The historical perspective - the campus is alive with the presence of some of the most significant history in the world - the lives and contributions of Booker T. Washington and Dr. George Washington Carver. If you only visit to tour the Carver Museum or take a stroll to the Tuskegee Airman exhibit your life will have been touched. While I achieved a Batchelors Degree from my transfer school - The University of Tennessee at Knoxville, Tn - I was educated at Tuskegee while pursuing a pre-forestry degree. I will never forget the first time I felt IMPORTANT - my Chemistry professor, Dr. Jackson, said to me - "Wilborn, I've been studying you - you can do great things because you have a Brilliant Mind". That statement helped to keep me moving forward even to this day. I love Tuskegee in the strongest sense...and if you experience it you will love it too. Ronell Wilborn Tuskegee Grad.

Tuskegee University is one of the pre-eminent Historical Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs). During the Era of Reconstruction, Tuskegee University was erected in 1881 with the amazing leadership of Booker T. Washington, a graduate of Hampton University in Virginia. This university continues in an extended legacy of educating the descendants of slaves in America as its primary mission. It's an honor to be a Tuskegee graduate! This veterinary college educates the most veterinarians of color in the western hemisphere! This is very significant, for most North American veterinary schools have sparse numbers of students of color. Especially for African Americans, Tuskegee University, College of Veterinary Medicine must be high on the list for consideration!

Not everyone has the opportunity to attend The Tuskegee University, but if given the chance I think you should definitely fulfill your destiny. I enjoyed my time there and will continue to have great memories created there. There is nothing like a Tuskegee Experience. So I ask you, GREATNESS IS CALLING YOUR NAME, WILL YOU ANSWER?
