        2013-2015, Post-Baccalaureate Diploma / Current MBA Student

I am a mature student, and after 13 years after my first degree, this means I am usually the eldest in most of my classes. I have completed my first year of a two year business diploma and have felt accepted and respected in every class I have taken! Thompson Rivers University has given me a warm and welcoming feeling, making my shift from full time work to full time student a natural one. This has left me with the ability to focus on the material, since it was so simple to integrate into the culture. Another amazing aspect is their conscious push to directly connect local business with the students: creating connections that are otherwise impossible for students (A shout out to the School of Business and Economics!). Nothing is ever handed to you, but the opportunities are made easily accessible with a little effort and persistence! As the title states: TRU not only encourages its new students to Grow, but also Rejuvenates those mature students that want to branch off into a new field!
