School Description

Founded in 1853, St. Francis Xavier University is among the oldest and most prestigious universities in Canada. At the time of its establishment, it served as the only institution to offer university-level education in the region that admitted Scottish Highlanders, Irish and English students who had come to join Acadians and Aboriginals in Nova Scotia for greener pastures.

Today, St. Francis Xavier University's campus in Nova Scotia is considered to be one of the most beautiful in Canada, with up to $250-million investment on campus infrastructure in the last two decades.
