            2000-2004, Bachelor of Arts

I never took the idea of attending an all-women's school seriously until I found Simmons. I stumbled upon the school by accident and I can only explain that moment as "serendipitous". I was challenged in every class I took, supported by professors and the career services department and met the best friends of my life on the soccer team that I played on for 4 years. Every alumna that I keep in touch with has gone on to do really cool things after graduation and holds a very high bar for themselves. I believe that Simmons helped us all learn how to face the world with a unique confidence. I am proud to say that I am a Simmons Alumna.

            2009-2013, Bachelor of Arts

Attending Simmons as an undergraduate and now as a graduate student has provided me with a multi-faceted perspective of the college. In both levels, faculty, staff and students work together to maximize student experience for the general population. Faculty and staff are receptive of student feedback and are genuinely interested in students' ideas. Coming here as a first year and returning as a graduate student has allowed me to build relationships with individuals in multiple areas of the college. As others have stated in their recommendations, Simmons has enabled me to find my passions and help combine them into marketable skills and attributes. The Library and Information Sciences program offers a plethora of choices for interested students, on both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The Computer Science program recently moved to our building, as did the Children's Literature program. Having such varied areas of study in one school affords students opportunities to examine, apply and practice what is learned in the classroom.

Simmons College is a great school to attend. The campus is conveniently located in Boston, Massachusetts near Fenway Park with lots to see and do and the campus itself is very well-kept. The faculty and staff are always happy to assist students with any and all concerns. The library science program offers so many opportunities for fun classes and job prospects. What's really great is the Graduate School of Library and Information Science tracks the latest library job postings throughout New England. This includes internship and student positions as well as professional work experience. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Simmons and recommend it to anyone looking to not only get a great education, but also meet amazing people while exploring all that the city of Boston has to offer.
