School Description

Saint Michael's College was founded in 1904 by the Society of Saint Edmund with the mission of establishing an institution guided by the principles of education, justice, and service to the poor. The institution's enrollment grew from a small number 250 to over a thousand after the homecoming of World War II veterans.

Today, Saint Michael's College is composed of 40 academic departments through which the college offers over 30 bachelor's degree and 3 master's degree programs. Its Colchester campus sits on 440 acres of land that is home to more than 2000 students representing 29 states and 36 foreign countries, 98% of which are accommodated in the college's 9 residence and apartment halls available to students from all academic levels, including international students, thereby providing opportunities for interactions within students from various cultural backgrounds.
