School Description

The school was founded in Forest Grove in 1849 by Congregationalist pioneers. Small classes and close faculty-student relationships create an inherently personal education. Faculty members know their students by name and provide substantial individual guidance and feedback in and out of the classroom. That closeness also means students are challenged, individually, to meet high standards and achieve great intellectual and personal growth.

The Perfect FitBefore making my college decision I visited U of O and OSU. As a softball player I wanted to be part of a strong athletic program as well as outstanding academics. On a whim I stopped by Pacific University and I just knew it was the place for me. The classes were small enough to have quality interactions but the school was big enough to get that true college experience. I wouldn't have traded my time there for anything.

Great Liberal Arts SchoolWith a smaller student population, there is much opportunity for individual, one on one instruction. Furthermore, they have added graduate degrees which allow students to specialize in physical rehabilitation, and psychology. In addition, they are well endowed and offer money to students to help defray the cost of an education. It's a great school, my daughter and her father also graduated from Pacific.

I loved my time at PacificIt is an small University with a lot of attention given to students by professors who are dedicated to their fields and their students. Because it is not a huge place, you have a warmth of knowing many of the people you cross paths with and taking growth experiences and fond memories into your future. I did not graduate from Pacific, but got a great start there and was able to graduate Suma Cum Laude from Trenton State College in 1977. My husband, who graduated from Opt School in 1975 is one of the great things I went forward in life with from Pacific!
