Nottingham, the home of Robin Hood and Trent University,

Trent Poly, the precursor to Nottingham Trent University, gave me the opportunity to gain a Degree in Building , on it's inaugural course. The 4 year sandwich course with year out in industry to put into practice what had been learnt before being qualified, was fantastic experience which helped me get on the job market when I eventually graduated. After that my career has covered a number of fascinating projects both overseas and in the UK . Located in the heart of Nottingham, a great place to learn

A great University in a great City

I studied Business Studies at Nottingham Trent back in the 1980s - like all students, I enjoyed all aspects of life at Uni, from the gigs, to the parties - the sport to the camaraderie. Courses like Business Studies have evolved enormously since I was studying, but I still learned enough to hone a few skills and talents - and it gave me a platform on which to base my early career. In later years that experience allowed me to set up and still run a software business called Jobtrain and one of the proudest moments was when Jobtrain was successful in a tender to supply the University with its resourcing system- what goes around comes around!
