Nebraska Wesleyan University - Master's Degree
- Average Tuition USD 42,640
Nebraska Wesleyan University (NWU) was founded in 1887 by the Nebraska Methodists. Since its early days, the university aims to provide a liberal arts education in an environment of Christian concern. NWU has two campuses, both in the state of Nebraska; the main campus in Lincoln, and a campus in Omaha. Living in Nebraska serves as an advantage for students, because of the low cost of living and diverse and friendly community.
NWU also provides a similar diverse environment within the university. The International Relations student Organization (IRO) is one of over 40 student organisations at the university. The IRO's purpose is to encourage students to engage with the global community by learning and sharing about different cultures. International students also have the chance to be paired with an International Pal, or I-Pal. You can communicate with your I-Pal before arriving so that you can learn more about the university and the state of Nebraska. Your I-Pal can even pick you up at the airport when you arrive, and take you on a tour of the town.

A terrific school where students are considered important.
Class sizes are small helping the student to get to know the instructor. Getting help with a class isn't an issue. I studied elementary education and got the instruction and experience I needed to be a great teacher.
1979-1983, Bachelor of Arts
An Excellent Place To Get An Education
Nebraska Wesleyan helped me get going in the right direction for my college degree. I thought I wanted to study science on the way to a medical degree. Within a few semesters I realized this wasn't right for me, and I changed my major to English and later went to law school. Besides getting a great education at NWU, I learned a lot about life. I started to learn about planning, organizing, setting goals, and interacting with people from many different backgrounds. I enjoyed the atmosphere of a small college in a quiet corner of a big city. I recommend Nebraska Wesleyan for anybody who is trying to find the right direction for their life. Whatever direction you decide to take, Wesleyan can help you get there.L

A Safe Transition
I would encourage any prospective student coming from a rural or small town background to consider Nebraska Wesleyan. It has the advantages of being in Lincoln, but retains the community aspect of small towns. The classes I took expanded my horizons and provided a good base for obtaining my MSW at a later date.
