Maryville University - Master's Degree
Maryville University was established in 1872, and is among the city's oldest private institutions. The Religious of the Sacred Heart laid its foundation as an instuitute for young women in the south of St. Louis. Thereafter, in pursuit of tapping its growth potential as a four year college, the academy moved to its current campus in the west in 1923. Finally in June, 1991 the college gained university status to become Maryville University of Saint Louis.
Maryville University has a campus that spans over 130 acres of rolling hills and wooded lands, encompassing four academic departments that provide more than 70 undergraduate degree programs, and 17 graduate degree programs in disciplines like medicine, arts and sciences, business, and education. The student body comprises of over 6000 students that represent 50 US states and 47 nations.
