London School of Business – previously known as – London Institute of Business Management, was established in November 1964 when the first meeting of the Governing Body was held and the first Secretary appointed. The School was registered as a company the following year in January.
Over the years, the London School of Business achieved several milestones. In 1969, it established its Doctoral and Marketing Executive Programs. Its first PhDs were awarded in 1974 and that same year female students made up 15% of the student body for the first time. In 1983 the University held its first part-time MBA program and in 1986 The London Business School was incorporated by Royal Charter, giving it the ability to confer degrees. London School of Business’ first Masters in Finance program was launched in 1993 and in 2001 it partnered with Columbia Business School to offer the first EMBA Global degree program. The University opened its Dubai Center in 2007 offering both Executive MBA and Executive Education Programs and in 2009 it launched its Masters in Management Program and the EMBA Global Asia program in partnership with Hong Kong University and Columbia Business School.
Today ninety percent of London School of Business’ Masters degree students come from outside the UK and its Executive Education students come from over 130 countries.

The program offers courses that focus on the study of management theory; human resource management and behavior; accounting, purchasing and logistics; organization and production; marketing; and business decision-making.
