School Description

Liverpool John Moores University's early beginnings can be traced back to 1823 when it first offered lectures in mechanics, arithmetic and ship drafting to students as the Mechanics' School of Arts. Throughout the years, the institution expanded by opening additional academic departments through which it started offering a variety of courses under different institution names before finally achieving university status in 1992 as the Liverpool John Moores University.

Today, Liverpool John Moores University is composed of 5 faculties through which it offers over 200 bachelors courses and over 130 masters courses in areas of arts, professional and social studies, education, health and community, science, engineering, and technology.
