          • Testimony
            1996-1999, ABS

I graduated in 1999 with aBS in Chemistry from Lamar's ACS certified program. With the support of faculty members who utilized their network contacts and my significant undergraduate research work I was able to get an interview at one of the top Pharmaceutical companies in the world. I was hired by GlaxoSmithKline as a new graduate and have worked there for the last 15 years. Lamar offered me the opportunity to participate in significant undergraduate research projects which is rare in most larger universities.

          • Testimony
            , Bachelor of Arts

During my tenure at NASA Johnson Space Center and working with professionals in Houston's Texas Medical Center, integrity and quality is the mark of Lamar alumni. Leadership in organizations such as Student Government, AMA and fraternal organizations prepared us to engage diverse groups to dialog, innovate and solve business and techical issues. Set in the heart of Southern hospitality and covered by a community of caring neighbors with a rich history and "sense of family", Lamar will always hold fond memories for me: my first accounting job after graduation was in LU Student Aid! I was the last of four siblings graduating from Lamar University. Go BIG RED! <3 <3 LU Cardinals!

          • Testimony
            1978-1983, BBA

I attended Lamar University from 1978 to 1983 and earned a B.B.A. in Finance. I can honestly say that I received a great education from the business school. I have worked in management for two Fortune 500 Companies since graduating and was always able to compete successfully with those from other schools. For the past fifteen years I have owned and operated my own businesses. Lamar University is a great school and anyone who attends and applies themselves will be the better for doing so.
