Well Prepared EducatorIndiana State University prepared me well for a career as a K-12 special educator. Classes including child development, education law, behavior management, assessment, pedagogy, and specific classes about disabilities were instrumental in helping me become a diagnostic prescriptive teacher. Other classes required work in the community. These were instrumental in helping me develop the knowledge base and skills to form and strengthen partnerships with parents and other professionals and organizations that help better meet student needs.
