Huntington University - Master's Degree
Huntington University first started as the Central College in 1897 named so due to its central location to churches in the community. It was founded by the Church of the United Brethren in Christ with the mission to provide education rooted liberal arts that will prepare future teachers, pastoral ministers, business, law, and medical-allied professionals among many others. In May 1917, Central College became Huntington College, and the Huntington University in the year 2005.
Today, Huntington University's lakeside campus covers over 160 acres of land containing more than $30 million worth of state-of-the-art academic buildings, residence halls, and athletic venues all available to almost 1,500 undergraduate and graduate students, 3% of which are international students representing 28 foreign countries. Huntington University has a high student satisfaction with a student-faculty ratio of 13 to 1, where 80% of faculty members has a PhD or other terminal degree.
