            GMU Undergraduate Engineering Program

I had an incredible journey at GMU. Graduated in 1989 from the undergraduate Engineering program. I had opportunity to live on campus for a couple of years, made friends from all over the world and had some fantastic professors. Enjoyed my Computer programming & Engineering courses. Experienced some fantastic elective courses in Economics, History and English that added a different facet to my academics. I had the opportunity to work part-time on campus in the various computer labs (mainframe / mini / graphics) that exposed me to different hardware platforms and software suites. I specialized in Data communications in my senior year and many of my key courses thru the program were taught by visiting professors working the hi-tech field that it added a valuable dimension. Overall GMU prepared me for the hi-tech world and have not looked back since. I have visited Mason over the years and the growth in the campus is excellent. Fantastic journey!!

            Change the World

If you have ever dreamed about making a difference in the world, Mason is the place to be. I am speaking to someone. This I know for sure. Your dreams will be realized by immersing yourself in innovative ideas, and being supported by compassionate engaged students and professors. My hope is that my story will encourage you. During my transfer orientation, the speaker, Dr. Merten, the former president at Mason, told us that we were brought to the university to change the world. That idea never occurred to me, but from that moment on, I took that challenge to heart. I knew that one day, all of my experience, new found knowledge, and determination would eventually change the world and the paradigm around healthy dating relationships. While at Mason, I conducted scholarly research in healthy dating, and initiated the first ever No Fear in Love Race/vision to promote healthy dating in 16-24 year olds. After graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2011, I have since...

            Excellent Partnership with VCCS

George Mason has one of the best transfer programs in the country for students in the Virginia Community College System. Simple guidelines provide students with specific two-year courses and degree programs to choose for guaranteed acceptance in the corresponding four-year degree program at George Mason. As a participant in this program I can say it's the best program of this kind that I have ever seen and made my transfer smooth and helped keep my school costs in budget :-).
