We need more leaders in our communities, schools, churches, military and businesses. This school trains leaders and I am proud to say that I am a graduate.

          • Testimony
            1972-1976, Bachelors

Education at The Citadel is just that... an Education. This institution prepares individuals who will be leaders in a variety of corporate America settings as well as those who serve in the military. Each Cadet is given ample opportunities to demonstrate his/her leadership styles and the faculty/staff give outstanding guidance and instruction to shape each Cadet into an individual able to accept challenges and responsibilities to be faced in whatever positions or jobs accepted. The Freshman Cadet, or "Knob" has to demonstrate a willingness to be a good follower as training over four years will turn the Graduate into a leader whatever the responsibilities facing him/her. The Citadel is THE school for students who want improve skills in teamwork and leadership while accepting the fact that many facets of typical college life, such as walk where you want to walk, talk when you want to talk, etc. are removed. These privileges are gradually earned back...

I found my three years at the Citadel (graduate school) challenging, rewarding and enlightening. It was an experience I would recommend to anyone who wants the path less traveled.
