Walter H. Delashmit
CBU Outstanding University for Engineering
CBU is an outstanding university for STEM studies. I received my BSEE from CBU in 1966, We had state-of-the-art lab facilities including one of the first computers available to universities at that time. My professors were excellent and several went on to even more notable careers. I had, in my opinion, a great career in defense, space and education which I enjoyed immensely. I have received many honors and awards and published many technical papers in refereed journals in the open literature. CBU has my highest regard, so much so that in 2015 I set up the Walter H. Delashmit Endowed Scholarship Fund in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
My preferred learning institution...
Small campus provides for efficiencies, collaboration, and expediency. As corporate manager, while attending CBU, those attributes were very instrumental in obtaining my double major. I truly enjoyed the academic engagement.
A good practical university
I would recommend CBU to any student who is looking for a well rounded education that prepares them to be a value adding member of society and industry. During the time I was in CBU, I found that the treachings given by the professors both prepared me to be effective at work and for further academic persuit.
