2012-2015, Bachelor’s Degree, Accounting and Finance
BSc Accounting and Finance
For students looking to study a finance related degree, I would recommend Buckinghamshire New University's BSc Accounting and Finance degree. I was given the chance to learn and build experience of using one of the most popular accountancy software packages in the world, Sage 50 Accounts. This is a key aspect in which firms look for when hiring new employees. In addition to this, if you wish to become a chartered accountant Bucks can help by providing 8 exemptions in ACCA and 5 exemptions in CIMA. This will give you a great foundation to complete your remaining exams and help when applying for finance related positions. Learning important aspects of accounting from the ethics and fundamentals to excel and sage will boost your employability in a competitive environment. Bucks can help kick-start your career in the accounting and finance industry.
2006-2009, BA Honours
I loved my time at the Buckinghamshire New University, I was at then the old business campus of Chalfont St Giles but the University was structured and had a plan for its students to succeed and help was always at the door if you chose to go and knock. Would recommend it for future students.
