Babson College traces its early beginnings from the year 1919, when it first opened its doors to just 27 students as the Babson Institute. Named after the owners of the home in which the classes were first held, Roger and Grace Babson, it aimed to provide students with basic training in the important functions of business such as production, finance, and distribution in just one academic year instead of four.
Today, Babson College is home to approximately 3,000 students representing over 80 countries from across the world. It is composed of 10 academic divisions through which it offers a variety of baccalaureate studies in up to 27 concentrations such as accounting, arts & humanities, entrepreneurship, history, math & science, technology, among many others. It also offers 4 master's degree programs with concentrations in areas such as business, finance, and accounting.

The Master of Science in Management in Entrepreneurial Leadership (MSEL) is a nine-month, cohort-based program that prepares students to lead in the workplace and world with confidence, creativity, and a focus on social, economic, and environmental responsibility and sustainability.
The program consists of two, 14-week semesters during which students will take an integrated set of courses in marketing, economics, accounting, operations, management, finance, and strategy. To complement and support the coursework, students will participate in leadership activities and two experiential learning projects.
The Master of Science in Finance (MSF) at Babson provides in-depth financial and quantitative knowledge combined with sophisticated problem-solving, practical application, ethical judgment, and professional development and communication skills. You’ll take your core courses with your MSF cohort but have the opportunity to learn side by side in elective courses with MBA students, all while receiving individualized mentoring from faculty.
The MSF program can be completed in as little as 9 months via the two-semester option or students can choose to complete the program over three semesters. The three-semester option allows students additional time to take their courses, at no extra tuition cost.
One-Year MBA students take their core courses as a cohort, allowing you and your classmates to form strong bonds and lifelong connections. In addition, you will further expand your network through electives taken with Two-Year MBA and Evening MBA students. You will also participate in Signature Learning Experiences, one-of-a-kind courses that include simulations, action-learning projects, and self-reflection, letting you hone your entrepreneurial decision-making skills in real business situations.
The Babson Two-Year MBA program is designed to redirect your career by providing a strong foundation of business knowledge rooted in an entrepreneurial mindset.
Classes begin in August, and you’ll complete your degree requirements 21 months later in May. You’ll also have the opportunity to directly apply your coursework to your career aspirations via a summer internship–97% of Two-Year MBA students seeking internships were able to secure an internship last summer.

School taught us a key ....for class and future..
When I did my MBA in the 80's there was no internet to do research. But doing research for the class work whether in the library and/or outside (talking to other companies, other school libraries ) taught me that fundamentals are key to success - ie what, where, when, how, why...This is something I still carry with me....

Solid Foundation to Launch Your Career Goals
The small size classrooms allowed for lots of good discussions. The entrepreneurial spirit was infused throughout learning. An emphasis on group projects prepared for the real world. So thankful for the foundation!
