School Description

Anglia Ruskin University's traces its early beginnings from the year 1858 when the Cambridge School of Art was established by art critic and philanthropist John Ruskin. Through the years, the school adopted several other colleges to form the Anglia Polytechnic, until becoming the Anglia Polytechnic University in 1992 and finally the Anglia Ruskin University in 2005.

Today, Anglia Ruskin University is spread in four campuses in Cambridge, Chelmsford, London, and Peterborough. It is among East England's largest universities enrolling approximately 35,000 students coming from 177 countries all over the world. Anglia Ruskin University is composed of five faculty departments through which it offers nearly 400 undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses in areas of arts, law & social sciences, health, social care & education, business, medical science, and science & technology.
