School Description

The college started in 1885 by the Reverend Mr. Calvin E. Amaron, who wanted to get educations for his youth and economic prosperity for the entire region. In 1892, the college was made into a coeducational institute. during 1940s, the college made progress in terms of enrollments, courses and programs along with the college's facility. Expansion in schools continued till 1970. The school has not stopped its progress to this day. Its notable alumni include: Dave Forbes (NHL hockey player), Mike Gravel (Alaska Senator) and others.
