School Description

Grand Valley State University (GVSU) is home to approximately 21,937 students from more than 80 countries around the world. GVSU offers more than 89 bachelor’s degree program including accounting, advertising and public relations, African/African-American studies, allied health sciences, and behavioral neuroscience. GVSU has built a reputation for applied sustainability best practices in the community and on-campus. An important part of GVSU's commitment is the creation and sustenance of a quality educational environment that involves the integration of strategic planning, assessment, and accreditation efforts. The location and size of the university allow students to enjoy both rural and urban lifestyle. At GVSU, different housing options are available and amenities such as beds, desk with organizer, dresser, bookshelf, wardrobe, and Wi-Fi are also provided. Freshmen are introduced to more than 300 student organizations during an event called “Campus Life Night,” that offers students the opportunity to choose from the many options for extracurricular activities. Students get to participate actively in campus activities through 55 service and advocacy organizations, 30 fraternities and sororities and 55 club sports.
