School Description
Armstrong State University (previously known as Armstrong Atlantic State University) is a public institution that was founded in 1935. It is a four-year public university, part of the University System of Georgia. Armstrong is well known for its one-on-one attention students receive from its experienced faculty. Notable alumni include Otis Johnson (Scholar in Residence at Savannah State University) who did Associate of Arts, Liberal Arts during 1963-1964.
Armstrong State University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate’s, baccalaureate, master’s and doctoral degrees.
