Florida Institute of Technology
School Description
Florida Institute of Technology offers a wide range of bachelor's degree programs in subjects such as Aeronautical Engineering, Computer Science, Oceanography, Genomics & Molecular Biology and Sustainability Studies. The University has a strong focus on and is known for the STEM fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. The institute offers hands-on learning through fieldwork and classroom interaction for all courses.
The 130-acre campus provides student accommodation through three residences for first-year students, each offering Internet and laundry facilities - Roberts Hall, Residence Quad and Columbia Village Apartments. In addition, the campus is also home to over a 100 student clubs, a National Public Radio affiliate station and studio, library and two museums. The institute's notable alumni include five Space Shuttle astronauts, the first female four-star general in U.S. military history, an Olympic gold medalist and a National Teacher of the Year winner.
