Edith Cowan University
Edith Cowan University (ECU), established in 1991, was named after Edith Dirksey Cowan, the first woman to be elected to an Australian Parliament and whose life was dedicated to the belief that education is the key to growth, change and improvement in society. Over the years ECU has been reshaping the way higher education is delivered in a distinctive and inspiring campus environment.
Today ECU has more than 27,000 students of which its 4,000 international students originate from more than 100 countries. 2016 onwards the University has established eight Schools offering 300 diverse courses in Health & Medical Sciences, Engineering, Education, Arts & Humanities, Business & Law, Nursing & Midwifery, Science and the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts.
