School Description

South Seattle College started in the year 1970, and it has since been a part of the Washington community and technical colleges system. In 2014 the college board of Seattle Community Colleges voted in the favor of changing the name of the district to Seattle College District.

Today, South Seattle College is a member of the Seattle College District which includes two community schools viz; Seattle Central College and North Seattle College. South Seattle College's curriculum has grown since its founding and now it includes professional and technical certificates, associate degrees and even three bachelor's degree programmes in the fields of Sustainable Building Technology, Technical training, and Hospitality Management. South Seattle College has a 87 acre hilltop campus that on an average accommodates more than 6,500 students.
