Seneca College started in the year 1967 to serve local communities with applied arts and technology education as a part of the province-wide initiative in Ontario to establish network of colleges for delivering career-oriented diplomas and certificate programmes. Seneca College has built campuses in Toronto, York Region and Peterborough over the past 50 years.
Today Seneca College has expanded its higher education reach throughout the Greater Toronto Area and in Peterborough with a network of four main campuses and 10 campuses overall. Seneca College offers over 145 full-time programmes, 135 part-time courses, advanced diplomas and 30 graduate certificates through its various faculties such as School of Applied Arts and Health Sciences; School of Applied Science and Engineering Technology; School of Communication, Art and Design; School of Business; School of Liberal Arts; centre of Continuing studies and so on. Seneca College on an average houses more than 5,300 international students from about 130 nations around the globe. Startup Canada has ranked Seneca College as the #1 school in Ontario to send graduates on to university through post secondary partnerships and pathways.
