Pierce College is a community college district operating through two campuses in Lakewood and Puyallup which serve the Pierce county in the state of Washington, United States. Pierce College offers programmes leading to associate degrees, professional and technical certificates and baccaularette degrees in wide range of disciplines including Business, Science, Engineering, Technology and more. Pierce College programmes are accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, an accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and the U.S. Department of Education.

School Description
Pierce College was initially established in the year 1967 as Clover Park Community college across a variety of locations throughout the Pierce county with an enrollment of 1,500 students. In 1970, the school moved to its new campus site in Fort Steilacoom and consequently its name was changed to Fort Steilacoom Community College. In the year 1986, the school's name was changed to Pierce College to reflect the institute's mission of educating and serving the students who live throughout Pierce County.
Today, Pierce College has grown from a community college with 1,500 enrolled students to a community college district having more than 12,000 students. Pierce College offers 38 associate degrees and 44 certificate courses at its two main colleges, Pierce College Fort Steilacoom in Lakewood and Pierce College Puyallup in Puyallup. Pierce College campus has leading-edge facilities on campus for students to engage in their academic and extra-curricular interests and some of these include a 58-seat digital planetarium called the Science dome, art galleries and health education centre for fitness and sports.
